Waking up early and hopping into my rental car from Las Palmas, I hit the GC-2 highway. The drive along the coastline was pure magic—think stunning ocean views and rolling hills. As I rolled into the little town of Puerto de Las Nieves, I felt like I'd stepped into a picture-perfect postcard.

This charming village nestled in the municipality of Agaete is  tranquil. The narrow, cobblestone streets lined with white-washed houses gave the town a quaint, timeless vibe. It felt like a warm hug from an old friend.

 Ferries to Tenerife from Puerto de Las Nieves

When it comes to Puerto de Las Nieves, it's not just about the quaint charm and stunning beaches—the port there actually serves as a vital connection point. If you're curious about the ships and ferries that set sail from Puerto de Las Nieves, let me fill you in! 

One of the main highlights of the port is the regular ferry service to Tenerife, specifically to Santa Cruz de Tenerife. These ferries are operated by Fred. Olsen Express, one of the most popular ferry operators in the Canary Islands. Their high-speed ferries make the crossing relatively quick, taking around an hour and a half to two hours, depending on the weather conditions.

The ferry ride itself is quite an experience. Imagine cruising across the Atlantic, with spectacular views of the open sea and, if you're lucky, even a chance to spot some dolphins. It's a fantastic way to combine island hopping with some scenic ocean travel.
