A Sky-High Adventure

Perched at the Morro de la Agujereada, the highest point on Gran Canaria at 1,961 meters, this viewpoint makes you feel both small and awe-struck amid nature's grand spectacle. Here, you'll find the Pico de los Pozos de la Nieve, with unrivaled views that stretch across our miniature continent of wonders.

The Highest Viewpoint on the Island

Situated at about 1950 meters above sea level, the Mirador del Pico de los Pozos de la Nieve holds the title for the highest vantage point on Gran Canaria. From here, you can gaze across a magnificent triangle from the Tamadaba Massif in the northwest to the Amurga Massif in the southeast. This panoramic view encompasses much of the UNESCO-designated Biosphere Reserve, where deep ravines and eroded volcanic landscapes tell the story of millennia of natural forces at work.

The Spectacle of a Sunset Above the Clouds

One of the most mesmerizing experiences at the mirador is witnessing the sun set over a sea of clouds. Unlike many other places, cloudy days are ideal for visiting this viewpoint. The clouds are held aloft by the island's famed trade winds, creating the illusion of a serene, fluffy ocean. Above this "cloud sea," you'll see the majestic Teide volcano in neighboring Tenerife, seemingly floating on this ethereal blanket.

Right next to the parking area, you'll find a semicircular stone platform, perfectly oriented to the west, offering unobstructed views of this natural marvel. It's a simple yet breathtaking spot to marvel at the wonders of the sky.

How to Get There

From Las Palmas de Gran Canaria:

By Bus: Take the 303 bus by Global from the San Telmo central station to San Mateo, then transfer to the 305 bus to Tejeda.

By Car: Head towards the Carretera del Centro from Avenida Marítima (GC-1) in the direction of Tafira, and follow the signs to the central part of the island.

From the South of the Island:
