Situated in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Playa de las Canteras spans approximately 3 kilometres. This urban beach is backed by a bustling promenade lined with shops and restaurants. Its key feature is "La Barra," a long rock formation providing a natural barrier for swimmers against the Atlantic waves. The beach is acclaimed for city surfing, snorkelling, and its golden sands.

Nestled within the heart of Las Palmas, Playa de las Alcaravaneras is around 1 kilometre long and neighbours the city's marina. This beach is particularly known for its fine golden sands and calm waters, making it ideal for water sports such as sailing and canoeing. 

 At the southern tip of Gran Canaria lies Playa de San Agustín, a less crowded counterpart to nearby hotspots. Stretching roughly 700 metres, this dark sandy beach offers tranquil waters due to its sheltered position. The nearby town of San Agustín provides a quiet retreat with an array of holiday accommodations. 

This famous beach stretches for nearly 3 kilometres, linking with Maspalomas to the south. Playa del Inglés is renowned for its extensive stretch of golden sand and dunes, vibrant nightlife, and proximity to a variety of tourist complexes and amenities. Its vigorous waves attract surfers, while the breezes make it popular for windsurfing. 

 Maspalomas boasts an iconic 6-kilometre coastline juxtaposed against stunning sand dunes that are designated as a nature reserve. Notable for the historic lighthouse, the beach transitions from a family-friendly zone to a more clothing-optional area as one moves towards Playa del Inglés. The nearby town of Maspalomas offers a selection of leisure and hospitality services.

 Positioned on the south-western coast, Playa de Puerto Rico is approximately 300 metres long, featuring golden sands imported from the Sahara and calm waters, courtesy of its protective artificial harbours. The beach is family-friendly with nearby shopping centres and the added charm of marine sports activities.

A short distance from Puerto Rico, Playa de Amadores, meaning 'Lovers' Beach', is a 500-metre crescent of white sand and turquoise water. It's particularly peaceful due to a ban on loud music and motorised water sports. The beachfront promenade offers a range of dining options, making it a romantic sunset spot.

Often referred to as "Little Venice" due to its canals, Playa Puerto de Mogán's small sandy beach, approximately 200 metres in length, offers a quaint charm with its cosy marina and abundance of blooming flowers. The compact town provides a scenic backdrop and leisurely atmosphere. 

Located in a sheltered bay between Puerto de Mogán and Puerto Rico, Playa Taurito is about 150 metres long and is a mix of dark sand and pebbles. The beach is part of a resort complex, featuring a water park, and is favoured for its seclusion and relaxed vibe. 

 Playa de Meloneras is a relatively new addition, with a quiet 500-metre stretch adjoining the Maspalomas lighthouse. It features calm waters and fine dark sand, flanked by high-end resorts and an elegant promenade with sophisticated shops and restaurants, offering a more upmarket beach experience.
